BREAD BUTTER AND HARVEST

Vendemmia is the italian word for harvest of the grapes. The word derives from vendémiaire and it is reffered to a period on the French or “revolutionary" calendar which was around September and specifically referred to the grape harvest. Though the Italians will likely differ on this story, preferring to consider it to be a pure discovery on their part from the latin word vinum (wine) e demia, (from demere, to take). 

If you are planning in your calendar to be in Campania mid of September, then you can join this experience with Happyning. You will appreciate up close the intricate work that goes on behind selecting the grapes and bringing them to fermentation.

If you prefer to wake up early, the morning is the right moment to join this experience together with your family or your friends!

We will prepare for you a rich breakfast made of home grown food products (as marmelade, hot brioches, cakes etc.) to give you the energy you need to join this experience. 

You will discover a fascinating vineyard company, in the heart of the Vesuvius National Park. You will join the traditions of Campania region, collecting bunches by hand and crushing the grapes.


If you are lazy and you prefer not to wake up too early in the morning, you could join this experience in the afternoon. You will taste the traditional Campania delights and a selection of three wines.

  • 9.30 a.m. Starting grapes collection 
  • 10:00 a.m. Starting crushing the grapes
  • 11:00 a.m. Cellar visit
  • 11:30 a.m. End of the experience

  • 6:30 p.m. Wine tasting
